I will be fair and just – says Acting Inspector General of Police

 
The Acting
Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Kpotu Idris has reiterated
his commitment to the protection of lives and property of every Nigerian
as well as running a compassionate, fair and just administration  based
on the rule of law in order to ensure there is no miscarriage of
justice against anyone in the country.  

The police chief gave the assurance  when he paid a courtesy call on the
governor of Niger state, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello,  at his official
residence in Minna at the weekend, saying he would work  with the
Nigerian public with the view to addressing the issues of criminal
elements in their midst.
 

He maintained that he would give both the personnel of the force and the citizenry a sense of dignity.
He said, “Anything  that violates the law and every irregularity  that
goes against the operations of the Nigeria Police Force will  be
addressed.”  


The governor said all indigenes of the state were excited about the
appointment of Ibrahim Kpotu Idris by  President Muhammadu Buhari.
