Hillary Clinton condemns deadly attack in Nice, France

 

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said
Thursday’s attack reinforces that “we have to stand with our allies and
not abandon them.”

“I am sick at heart about what’s happened to the French people. This
was a horrific attack, while as you know so well, friends and family
were celebrating French history and culture,” she said in an interview
with CNN. “It reminds us very vividly and tragically that we have to
stand with our allies and not abandon them and we need to strengthen our
alliances, including with NATO, not undermine them.”

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) also urged solidarity with France:
