Former police officer arrested for robbing a Subway restaurant with an accomplice

A former police officer is in trouble after robbing a restaurant with an accomplice who had a gun.

Police said that Valerie Palombi, 24, of New Mexico, entered a Subway with her accomplice.

Keven T. Blake, 24, held workers at gunpoint while the former police officer stole money from the cash register.

Palombi served as a police officer with the Roswell Police Department
(RPD) for two years. She was fired from her job back in January, after a
confrontation with officers, during which she fired shots out of her
home.

She is currently serving a sentence of probation for negligent use of a deadly weapon.

Palombi was arrested again along with Blake, 24, for armed robbery.

Both were booked into the Chaves County Detention Center on cash only bond of $25,000.

According to police, Blake is the brother-in-law of a RPD detective.
