FCT High Court grants N50million bail to Gov. Fayose’s aide Abiodun Agbele

An FCT High Court sitting in Abuja, today, July 21, 2016, granted
N50million bail to Abiodun Agbele, an aide of Governor Ayo Fayose of
Ekiti state. Agbele was arrested and detained in Lagos State in June by
the EFCC, over allegations of aiding and abetting Fayose to launder
N1.219billion he received from the Office of the former National
Security Officer, Sambo Dasuki in June 2014.

He is being prosecuted by the EFCC for allegedly buying properties on
behalf of Fayose from the money he received through former Minister of
Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro. Along with the N50million bail granted, the
accused will also have to produce two sureties of the Director Cadre in
the civil service.
