Father lied on death bed about being stabbed by robbers to protects his daughter who killed him

Police in Alabama, were shocked to learn that they were lied to by a man on his death bed.

Birmingham Police said that 69-year-old Eddie Casmer Townsend, who
claimed that he was stabbed during a robbery, was actually attacked by
his daughter and lied to protect her.

Townsend was found stabbed on his porch by neighbors, and he was taken to a hospital, where he later died of his wounds.

When police spoke with Townsend, he reported that as he was doing yard
work, three men approached and asked him for money, and when he told
them that he had none, they stabbed him in the abdomen.

People in the neighborhood were terrified that the suspects might strike again. Police worked hard to catch those responsible.

However, their investigation uncovered that there were no thieves
involved. Instead, Townsend was stabbed by one of his daughters.

Police said that Townsend was stabbed during a domestic altercation with his wife, who called her daughters for help.

Townsend allegedly brandished a knife during the altercation that quickly got out of control, and his daughter stabbed him.

Police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards, confirmed that one of the daughters
stabbed Townsend, and he made up the story to protect her.

Police said there had been a previous history of domestic violence at the home.
