Now, 61-year-old Choy Sin-hung
of Yuen Long, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the
stabbing death of 15-year-old Choy On-yu.
According to the police
investigation, the father stabbed his son more than 100 times at home
while his mother was working in Shenzhen.
The father's younger
son, who is 10 years old, was not at home when the violence took place.
Police at the scene found two knives stained with blood, which were used
by the father to cut her autistic son.
The father told police he attacked his son while the boy was asleep.
He
said that since he was getting old and feared that after his death, the
autistic child would not be taken care of, he decided to end it all.
The
father wrote a suicide note, which police found in the living room of
the home. The note stated that the father intended to end his own life,
and was taking the child with him.
The father will be sentenced
next month, pending a report by a mental health professional. High Court
judge Madam Justice Maggie Poon Man-kay told the father that he had no
right to end the life of his child.
