Family of four found dead in eastern France

A
Turkish family of four in eastern France was found dead in their home
on July 12, with police suspecting that the father killed the wife and
the children before killing himself.

Gökhan Taşdemir was
found dead with his wrists sliced, while his wife and children, aged
three and seven, were found strangled in their home in Folschviller by
the sister of Taşdemir’s wife who had gone to the house to visit the
family, Folschviller Mayor Gabriel Müller said in a press statement.

While
police suspected that the father killed the family members and then
himself, sources close to the family said the couple had been having
problems recently but their deaths could have been a homicide committed
by a fifth person, as the house’s garage door was found open and the
family’s car was found some 200 meters away from the house.
