A couple told police that they had no choice but to steal a lawnmower
and ride naked because someone stole their clothes while they were
swimming naked, according to police in Missouri.
Joplin police said that they have arrested the 55-year-old man and the
40-year-old woman after stealing the lawnmower from a backyard and
driving it to their home.
They were both charged with one count of theft. According to the police
investigation, the incident unfolded on Tuesday morning near the creek.
Police received calls that a couple was riding a lawnmower naked. Police
made contact with the couple around 9:00 a.m., after finding the stolen
lawnmower in front of their home.
The couple admitted to stealing and riding the lawnmower naked because
their clothes were stolen while they were swimming naked in the creek.
