Catholic church where priest was murdered was among several targets found on suspected jihadi arrested last year

THE French
church where a priest was murdered by Islamist knifemen was on a ‘hit
list’ found on an alleged ISIS terrorist arrested last year.
Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray was one of a number of Catholic churches singled out for attacks by the terror group.

Sid Ahmed Ghlam, 24, was arrested in April 2015 after he called an ambulance in Paris after shooting himself in the leg.

Father Jacques Hamel, 86, was murdered at the altar by two fanatics earlier today while holding a morning service.

He was reportedly beheaded by the knifemen who took two nuns and
several worshippers hostage at the church in northern France before
being shot dead by police.
