3-year-old boy finds gun while visiting home and fatally shoots himself in the head

 

A little boy whose parents were visiting an acquaintance, found a gun
in the home and shot himself in the head, according to police in
Tennessee.

Clarksville police said that they have launched an investigation after
the 3-year-old boy shot himself in the head with the gun he found at the
home on Friday around 5:30 p.m.

Clarksville fire crews and police responded to the home located on
Samantha Lane, where they found the boy with a gunshot wound to the
head.

He was transported to the Tennova Medical Center, where he died of his
wounds. The child and his parents do not live in the house.

Police said that they were visiting from Fort Riley, Kansas, and the gun
belonged to the homeowner. So far, no charges have been filed.
