Three teens steal car from city mayor at gunpoint

 

The mayor of a city was shocked to see three armed teens approaching him
and demanding that he hand over the keys to his car to them, according
to police in Florida.
Sanford police said that they have arrested 18-year-old Jermine Jacques
Horne and 17-year-old Demarcus Paige, after they were accused of
stealing the car belonging to Mayor Jeff Triplett.
The third suspect is still at large. Horne was charged with armed
carjacking, aggravated assault and contributing to the delinquency of a
minor.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, outside the mayor’s home.

Triplett was standing in front of his house on Chapman Avenue, when
three men approached him. Two of them pointed guns at him and stole his
car keys.

The thieves also stole his wallet before they left the scene with his Mercedes.
