Police officers demand $1 million after their body cameras recorded them using the toilet

A group of police officers are demanding $1 million after their body
cameras recorded them using the bathroom, according to court documents
in Illinois.
The group of 12 police officers filed a lawsuit against the Round Lake
Park police department after the highly offensive and voyeuristic videos
were saved.

Police Officer Dominick Izzo said that he found out about the recordings after reviewing video from his camera.

According to the lawsuit that was filed in federal court, the officers’
cameras recorded thousands of highly offensive and voyeuristic
intrusions, including video that showed the genitals of the officers.

The officers feel humiliated, and are embarrassed and very upset. Each officer is seeking $100,000 in damages.

The body cameras, which are designed to record police interactions with
the public, were installed after a sharp rise in complaints about bad
treatment.

Izzo discovered that the cameras were recording even though they were turned off or in sleep mode.
