NFF frees Giwa FC players, tells them to join other clubs

The Nigeria Football Federation has allowed all players of banned club
Giwa FC to join other clubs as free agents till the end of the season,
after the NFF disciplinary committee last week upheld the expulsion of
the Jos Based club from the Nigeria Professional Football League

In a letter to the Chairman of League Management Company (LMC), signed by NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi ,
the NFF wrote: “Based on the LMC’s expulsion of the club from the
Premier League and the NFF ratification of the same measure and with
special reference to article 14 & 23 of the FIFA regulations on the
status and transfer of players, all players of Giwa FC as pronounced by
the LMC and the NFF Disciplinary Committee are free to provisionally
register for any club of their choice till the end of the 2015/2016
football season.
“Note also that, all the
players are to return to the management of Giwa FC after the last match
of the 2015/2016 League Season.”
