A man was arrested on a charge of indecent exposure after he allegedly
scanned his private parts at the self-checkout counter of a supermarket,
according to police in Washington.
East Precinct officers arrested the man on Wednesday night, after he
flashed employees at the self-checkout machine at a Capitol Hill store.
The incident unfolded around 5:00 p.m., at the store located in the 400 block of Broadway E.
Employees noticed the man standing at the self-checkout machine,
laughing to himself as he placed his genitals on top of the scanner of a
self-checkout machine.
The man fled the store, but returned five hours later, and was
confronted by employees. Employees told the man to leave, but he
refused, and got into a shoving match with store security before leaving
the store.
Officers later arrested the man at Broadway E and E Harrison Street, and
booked him into the King County Jail for indecent exposure.
