Kindergarten teacher killed by her mother-in-law for having affair with former boyfriend

Two young boys were playing outside their home when their mother was killed by their grandmother.
35-year-old Jenna Wall was a beloved kindergarten teacher at Kemp
Elementary School. She allegedly had an affair with her high school
sweetheart.

When her husband learned about the affair, he left her.

Elizabeth B. Wall, 63, of McRae, confronted her daughter-in-law, and then shot her dead.

Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said that the victim’s two young
sons, who are 7 and 8 years old, were outside of the home at the time of
the shooting.

The husband, who is an investigator at the Paulding District Attorney’s
Office, wrote in a court filing that his estranged wife disclosed to him
that she was having the affair after she filed for divorce.

The mother of two children and her former high school boyfriend
allegedly started communicating via social media back in 2013, before
meeting up in 2014, and they allegedly carried on the affair until the
break-up.

The children allegedly met the lover on one occasion, according to the court filings.

The couple had been married for 12 years. The husband was working at the time the shooting took place.

His mother was arrested on charges of murder, aggravated assault,
possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and cruelty to
children.
