Drug addict steals Star Wars Lego sets from toy stores across the country and sells them to support cocaine addiction

A drug addict was arrested on a charge of theft after allegedly stealing
Star Wars Lego sets from toy stores across the United States, in order
to support his cocaine addiction, according to police in Florida.
Pasco police said that they have arrested 35-year-old Shannon Kirkley,
after being accused of stealing Lego from the Toys “R” Us located at
6105 Wesley Grove Blvd.

Kirkley has been charged with theft, resisting an officer, and
possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the
Pasco County Jail, pending a bail hearing.

According to the police investigation, Kirkley stole thousands of
dollars worth of Star Wars Lego sets from toy stores across the country
before being caught.

Kirkley admitted to stealing Lego sets in order to sell them. He then
used the money to buy cocaine. Kirkley is wanted in New Jersey for
similar crimes.

When police tried to arrest him at Toys “R” Us, Kirkley resisted and
said he was in the store to buy Lego for his 10-year-old son.

Deputies then found drugs in his pocket. The manager of the Toys “R” Us
told police that he saw the suspect trying to remove the sensor from a
box of Lego.
