Doctors in China, successfully removed a long sewing needle from a
little girl’s throat after it got stuck there while she played with it
at home.The surgery was conducted on Thursday, at a hospital in Xi’an.
It took doctors just 30 seconds to successfully remove the two-inch-long
needle that was embedded in the 1-year-old girl’s throat.
According to the police investigation, the girl played with the sewing
needle before putting it into her mouth. When she tried to take it out,
it got stuck in her throat.
The girl’s parents brought her to the hospital several hours after she
swallowed the needle. The surgery lasted only 30 seconds, and the girl
is expected to make a full recovery.
No charges have been filed.
