Convenience store owner kills his close friend for refusing to pay for bottle of water

 

A convenience store owner was arrested on a charge of murder after
allegedly killing his friend because he refused to pay for a bottle of
water, according to Nigeria police.
Lagos police said that they have arrested 29-year-old Ekanem Enodan,
after being accused of killing 46-year-old Nicholas Goddonu.
Enodan has been charged with one count of murder, and he is being held without bail.

According to the police investigation, Goddonu, who worked as a delivery
driver, visited Enodan’s convenience store on Wednesday around 10:30
p.m.

Goddonu took a bottle of water from the fridge, which retails for 50
cents. Enodan the demanded payment from Goddonu, who was a father of
five children.

When the friend refused to pay for the water, Enodan hit him on the head
with a bottle. Enodan, then took back his bottle of water and placed it
in the fridge.

Goddonu was rushed to the Ifako General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
