Photos/Video: Civil servants protest in Obi Local govt. Benue state over nonpayment of salaries

Civil servants in Obi local government, Benue state today protested for seven months of nonpayment of salaries. In a protest which lasted for three hours (8: am – 11: am). The civil servants blocked the popular Ito bridge, setting tires on fire and preventing motorist and marketers from going about their normal activities. The civil servants later made ways for motorist and marketers after much plead from top govt. officials on behalf of gov. Samuel Ortom promising them that their salaries will be paid before the end of next week. I pray those ogas at the top pay them as soon as possible… More photos and video below….
