Army arrests 3 wanted Boko Haram members in Yobe

The Nigerian Army has arrested three Boko Haram members declared among the most 100 wanted suspects. Making their arrest known to newsmen in Damaturu yesterday Nov. 19th, the Commander, 27 Task Force Brigade, Col. Dahiru Bako, said one of the suspects was arrested in Jakusko while two others were arrested in Damaturu.

“The suspect arrested in Damaturu is tailor operating at the Don Etiebet Housing Estate, but we cannot disclosed the identity”, he said.

Col. Bako also disclosed that a woman carrying suspicious items was also arrested in Damaturu. He added that the army had destroyed the sect’s major camps including Markas, Timbuktu and Fallujah and other smaller cells in Shangamari, Ngirmai, Shamko and Jamtari all in Alagarno forest bordering Borno and Yobe.

 “The insurgents are highly on the run and now filtering into the communities. We therefore appeal to the communities to be vigilant, fish them out and report suspicious persons and movements in their midst to security agencies”, he said
