Election tribunal upholds election of Plateau state governor

The Plateau state governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Jos, the state capital, yesterday upheld the election of the state governor, Simon Bako Lalong.
The tribunal in its ruling, struck out the petition of Gyang Pwajok of the PDP, stating that the petition lacked merit and the petitioner failed to prove that the April 11th election that produced Lalong as governor was marred with election irregularities.

The tribunal ordered the petitioner and his party, PDP to pay a fine of N50,000 to the governor, his party APC and INEC.
