EFCC arrests former governor, Akpabio over alleged fraud

According to a breaking news report by Premium Times, former governor of Akwa Ibom State and Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio was arrested by 5.20pm this evening by EFCC. He was reportedly accompanied by a few aides and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Ricky Tarfa to EFCC office.
An EFCC source is also said to have confirmed the development. He is reportedly being interrogated over an alleged N108.1billion missing Akwa Ibom money when he served as governor of the state.

“He was brought in at about 5.20 pm accompanied by a few aides and Mr. Rickey Tarfa,” source said.
