Photos: Blindfolded tightrope walker Nik Wallenda completes daring Chicago skyscraper stunt on live TV – 36 years after great-grandfather died in similar performance

The tightrope artist crossed the Chicago River (right) in 6 minutes, 52 seconds, going from the west Marina City tower to the Leon Burnett building, then made a shorter blindfolded voyage from the west to east Marina City tower (left) – during which he was guided only by his father’s voice and a pinging sound coming from his destination. He broke the Guinness World Records for the highest wire-walk at an incline and the highest wire-walk blindfolded. See more photos below.
