This Sexual Joke Might Land A Teen In Jail For Two Years

Pennsylvania law criminalizes the desecration of a sacred object or “defacing, damaging, polluting or otherwise physically mistreating in a way that the actor knows will outrage the sensibilities of persons likely to observe or discover the action.”

The boy is now being charged with the crime, and if convicted, he’ll face two years of juvenile detention. Since he’s a minor, most of the details about the case have been sealed, but there is one organization coming to his defense. Truth Wins Out, an organization that advocates for LGBT rights, has previously argued that the law is unconstitutional.
